Frequently Asked Questions
Your Session
During the first session the aims are to;
a) Understand where you are now, where you want to get to, your thoughts and expectations, and determine how we can best work together to achieve this.
b) Get started. Following the initial assessment we waste no time and get to work straight away in the treatment room, rehab area, or gym.
Please wear comfortable sports wear/training/gym kit.
Depending on your problem, you may be asked to undress. This will be minimised and be entirely at your discretion.
Open, honest and clear advise and recommendations.
Expect a service that provides exceptional value and a level of detail normally reserved for professional athletes.
Taking the time to ensure that you are understood and in turn that you understand what the recommendations are. Then we collaborate to work out the best plan of action specific to you.
If you have seen a specialist before or have any relevant documentation then please bring this along with you. If you are training and have details around schedule and sessions then the more information the better.
Of course. If you would like a chaperone or to bring a family member or friend with you, you are more than welcome.
All clients under 16 require an adult to attend session with them.
During the session you will be given a focused rehab programme. As soon as possible you will sent a more comprehensive Rehab Plan with more information bespoke to you. If appropriate we will also send you pictures and videos of exercise technique.
No. You do not need to see your doctor before attending.
Expect openness and honesty. If another practitioner or specialist would be more appropriate everything possible will be done to help you. Having strong relationships with a variety of professionals both locally and nationally enables speedy referral on if required.
Everything is done to ensure that you are comfortable and any pain is minimised. However, there may be times that require the use of certain assessment tests, treatment options or rehab exercise that are uncomfortable. You will always be asked your permission first and alternatives will be used where possible.
Following the initial session you will be given open and honest advise as to expected time frames and how many sessions would be expected. Together, we then work through your schedule and other restraints, to come up with the ideal plan for you.
If you are unable to attend or need to rearrange we are happy to help. Please let us know as soon as possible.
If changes or cancellations are made with less than 24hrs notice we reserve the right to charge you the full cost of the session. Also, failing to attend a session will result in being charged the full cost of the session.
